Tomorrow things are put in motion

Two years ago Matthew Winterborn Scroger reached out to me and said he wanted us to write a song for the horror film to be released later this year called Back Road: The Movie. We had just finished recording a 4 song EP, but did not feel that any of the material on the album was sufficient for the film.

So we started writing more material and entered the studio under Joseph Chudyk six months later to begin recording what we thought at the time was going to be our full length album. We finished recording “Guff Speaking Work Slackers” at that time and made plans to return. However instead of that happening, we added more members to the band. With the new line up, we went back to the drawing board and reworked the old songs along with writing new ones.

Almost a year went by and as we were making plans to go back in the studio, Daryl left the band. This caused a delay in the album as it meant we needed a new bass player. Taylor switched from banjo to bass duty and once again we went back to reworking the songs. It was during this time that Kaiser Solzie put me in touch with legendary engineer Jamie McMann. Given Jamie’s track history, we knew he would be the one to give us the sound we were really looking for.

Tomorrow after prepping for this for two years, we will be putting the deposit down for the upcoming album titled “The Big Sound.” This is sure to be my biggest project to date. This album also wouldn’t be called the big sound if it didn’t include several guests from other bands including Grant Emeigh from DredNeks, Trevor Jennings from The Rust Belt Brigade, Bobby Skrzypek from Bobby Skrzypek And The Pedestrians, Sidney Flanigan and Josiah Franco from Hammered and Nailed and Lenny Palmieri. After the album is completed, it is our dream to have everyone involved in the making of this thing perform it with us at the cd release show.

As much as I would have liked to put an album out two years ago, I truly believe it was held up for reasons out of my control to bring us to the day where all the pieces line up for what is sure to be one of the most well received releases this area will see this year.

We will be opening up preorders in the near future.

Thank you to everyone for your support over the years and pushing us to this point.
